The Widow of Nain

                                                     The Widow of Nain
I cannot imagine what it must feel like to lose a child, who has grown in my womb, been delivered at birth, grows to a certain age, and end up burying that child before I am buried. I have seen many, many women go through this, and the horror and the emptiness that they feel must be HORRENDOUS!

There was a woman who had been married in the Bible, and she had a child. In time while that child was little , her husband died. Nothing is said about this woman, accept she was from the town of Nain. Luke 7:11-19, talks about this story.

Luke 7:11-19 tells us-" Now when it happened, the day after  that He went into the city; and many of His disciples went with  Him, and a large crowd." Just remember, that wherever Jesus went, He drew a big crowd, because people wanted to be healed, wanted salvation, and more, and He gave them the "Desires of their heart." ( Psalm 37:4.)

vs.12-"And when He came to the gate of the city; behold, a dead man was being carried out, the ONLY son of his mother; and she was a widow. This woman's heart had to be so broken more than anyone could imagine. She's a widow, and now her son has died. As a mom I can not begin to imagine that feeling. Ahhh!!!! Here's the blessed part!!!! vs.13-"When The Lord saw her, HE had compassion on her; and said "Do not weep." Imagine,  The Widow of Nain is told by Jesus not to weep!"vs.14-"Then He came and TOUCHED the open coffin, and those who carried the coffin stood still. And He said to him:" Young man, I say to you ARISE.""So he arose and began to sit up  and speak. And He presented him to his mother."

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you are seeing this with Spiritual eyes!!!!  That woman who  just had lost  ALL she had in her family, and  I am sure is asunder in her heart and  soul. What happens??? This lady is walking with the Pallbearers, ABOUT to bury all she has, and WOW! Jesus appears on the scene!!!!! All Jesus has to do is  just tell her not to cry, because HE, Jesus Christ is going to restore her son to LIFE!!!! Our God does love us and He does HEAR us!!!!

Then fear ( respect) came upon ALL and they glorified God. (The large crowd, the son raised to life, the mother!!!!! ) saying:" God has visited His people."  Ladies, my sisters in Christ,  Just know that God has not forgotten about you." He sees  every heartache, and every tear we shed, when we go through the loss of a child, or the loss of a mom, dad, or aunt or uncle, sisters or brothers, and our grandparents and great grandparents as well.

The window got to return home with her son and life was good from then on out. In fact vs.17 says-"And this report went throughout  Judea and all the surrrounding region." vs.  18 and 19 tell us:" Then the disciples of John reported  to him concerning all these things" "John calling two of his disciples said:"Are you the Coming One or  do we look for another?"

Sisters and brothers in Christ, take a look around you.  The devil is the one who causes death, but Jesus conquered death and the grave!!!!  I realize that Our Lord and Savior is'nt visibly walking around today, but if you and I have put our faith and trust in Him and said: "Lord Jesus, I need you to come into my heart and life and forgive me of my sins and make me a new person!" He will do just that. I'm living proof. I had a iscarriage in pregnancy, early and I felt that loss, but as the Psalmist David said:" He cannot come to me, but I can go to him."

May Our Lord Jesus meet every need of your heart today!
